Portfolio Company Involvement

We fully understand our role is to ensure management has the resources necessary to grow the business and increase equity value for all shareholders. The management team must provide strong leadership to the business and can do so only by maintaining operational control, but we’re prepared to “roll up our sleeves” (at the board level) sharing in the responsibility for making sure the company meets or exceeds its operational goals.

We’ll assist by:

• Chairing or co-chairing the board
• Serving as board level advisors or observers for minority investments
• Acting as a sounding board for management Helping to source and consummate strategic add-on acquisitions
• Helping to source management talent and structure management incentive plans
• Assisting with portfolio company refinancing and balance sheet restructurings
• Facilitating best practice interaction between portfolio companies
• Helping to maintain a (cash flow focused) growth orientation

We’ll also involve our FBO (former business owners) and EO (executive officers) with most of our portfolio companies to provide the “operating partner perspective” to pre-closing due diligence and on-going board level discussion and interactions with management during the life of our investment.
